Arizona National Guard Earth Day
April 20th, 2010
Arizona National Guard, 56th St & McDowell

"Able and Gene in their 100% electric running on American power turned a few heads and got salutes from many Army National Guard members and local school children. The Earthday Celebration on McDowell Road was very busy with the local air resources ADEQ, State Parks , wildlife groups and a renewable energy company as well as our Phoenix EAA members with their vehicles. How could they not salute and respect our own purple heart winner Gene driving over 190,000 miles in 17 years. Gene had a new WRAP on his EV with special graphics and lettering. Able took the day off work and drove his all American Geo Force that is equipped with Texas Valance lithium batteries. What could be more American than that. They made me very proud to be with them for the 3 hours I could attend with my plug-in hybrid. It was a warm day and they Guard had invited many local schools that all came ready to learn and our 2 EVers were a great example to all."
